Three Bond 1211 White is a single component silicone liquid gasket supplied as a white paste. It cures on its own when exposed to moisture in the surrounding air, without the need for additional heat, catalysts or hardening agents. During curing, it gradually builds bonding strength. At around 25°C, the material begins to set in roughly forty minutes. Once cured, it forms an elastic rubber-like film capable of withstanding wide temperature variations while remaining stable in both hot and cold environments. Test Conditions Pressure medium used was turbine oil at approximately 120°C. Pressure was increased gradually at 0.1 kg per square centimetre per minute until reaching 1 kg per square centimetre, after which the pressure was raised by 1 kg per square centimetre every twenty minutes. TB 1211 cures through a moisture reaction. The overall rate is influenced by applied thickness, temperature and humidity. Under conditions of 25°C and fifty percent relative humidity, the surface generally loses tack within twenty to thirty minutes. A rubber-like state is typically reached after fifteen to sixteen hours, but the highest bonding strength develops over the course of about three days. Electrical insulation capability is achieved approximately one week after application. Curing begins at the exposed surface, so thicker layers will require proportionally longer time to fully set.
