FACTORING POLYNOMIALS WORKBOOK

The FACTORING POLYNOMIALS WORKBOOK is a resource that Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 students can use to practice factoring polynomials. There are eight sections in this workbook. Example problems with step-by-step solutions precede the problems for each section. Students should study these examples before starting the problems. This workbook also contains the step-by-step solutions for all problems. Students should use them to check their work and correct any mistakes that were made. There are no word problems in this workbook.Section 1 begins with problems for students to factor out the Greatest Common Factor(GCF) from the polynomial.In Section 2,students factor trinomials of the form x^2+bx+c by grouping. Section 3 includes problems where students factor trinomials of the form ax^2+bx+c by grouping.In Section 4, students factor Trinomial Squares (Perfect Square Trinomials). Section 5 includes problems where students factor a Difference of Two Squares.In, Section 6, students factor a Sum and Difference of Two Cubes.In Section 7, students factor out the GCF and factor the remaining factor.Section 8 includes problems where students factor four term polynomials by grouping. In Section 9, is where students factor six term polynomials by grouping. Finally, there are step-by-step solutions for all problems.Note: The factors for all problems represent real numbers.ABOUT THE AUTHORTeaching ExperienceNorman finished his 27th year as a high school math teacher and he is looking forward to the 2021-2022 school year. During his teaching career, he has taught Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus.Education Norman earned a M.Ed. from Chaminade University of Honolulu and a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.PersonalNorman is a Navy Veteran. He enlisted in the United States Navy upon his high school graduation. He worked as an F-14 Tomcat plane captain (not a pilot) for the VF-41 Black Aces while they were out at sea on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Nimitz.
